  • Increase the number of women, underrepresented minorities (URM), and historically underserved groups (LGBTQ, differently-abled, and low SES-Socio Economic Status).
  • Develop fellows' capabilities as instructors through a teaching community of practice and supervised teaching experiences.
  • Develop fellows' professional identities to prepare them for diverse career opportunities in academia, industry, and government.
  • Disseminate research and lessons learned from the GOSTARS program via professional organizations and online and in-person workshops.
  • Create fellows that recognize gender and racial systemic biases, ethical dilemmas, and issues of inclusivity and advocate for change where appropriate.
