Introduction to Career Pathways & Preparation

This course will provide high school students with multifaceted experiences in career planning and development. It will expose students to the needs of the workforce in the USA. The course will introduce skills, interests and level of education (High School, 2 year college, 4 year college and professional advanced degrees such as an MS, PhD, JD, MD, etc.) required for varied career pathways. Students will build upon the content and experiences through a variety of more advanced skills required for career preparation. These include personal and academic readiness along with career readiness. Students will develop study and test taking skills and technology skills including how to create study schedules, organize study materials, prioritize tasks, and complete assignments on time.
