Water Pumps
Water Pumps
About Water Pump (Connected Bottle)
Water Pump can transport volumes of water, using pressure, from point A to point B. In this experiment students will use household materials such as straws, cups, bottle caps, scissors, and a glue gun. This experiment allows students access to a visual representation of what happens in a water pump.
This experiment works for high school and middle school students. For high school students, data can be collected and graphed (eg. time vs. quantity). For middle school students, the experiment can simply be performed, as well as answering questions about what they had learned from conducting the experiment.
