Rowan University Research Council (RURC)
As one of the nation's fastest-growing public research institutions, Rowan University focuses on tackling projects and solving problems with a strong focus on applied research. Rowan teams bring technical expertise and collaborative experience to address regional, national and global concerns that affect everyone.
Classified by Carnegie as a high research activity institution, Rowan University partners with business and industry, government and nonprofit organizations, both in New Jersey and beyond. Their work spans Rowan’s medical schools, STEM programs, humanities and more.
The RURC is comprised of deans and associate deans representing all Colleges, Schools, and Administrative Divisions at the institution.
RURC Mission Statement
The mission of the RURC is to serve as an advisory cross-functional committee reporting to the Vice President for Research. The RURC provides strategic communications, establishes collaborations, and advocates for necessary resources to support Rowan University's vision to become a world-class research institution.
